I have been attempting to encode a hybrid movie for several months now, without sucess. I want to ultimately burn it to DVD, so I want to leave it interlaced. I load my avs script into TMPGEnc, and because of HD space constraints I have to edit the commercials from my raw huffy capture in that program. My problem is this: The resulting file starts out bottom-field-first, but at a commercial edit half way through switches to top-field-first, then later on switches back to BFF. Needless to say, this makes for one jumpy picture.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I thought maybe because I was editing out odd frames, but the last time I paid special attention to editing out even numbers of frames, and that didn't help either.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Would editing via my script help the situation?
