View Full Version : Selecting MAIN feature in DoItFast4U...

I have experienced an interesting issue when attempting to backup The Osbournes Disc II. There are 6 or so VTS's, 1 at around 800MB (episode 10), 4 (I think) is around 2.5GB & 6 is about 2.5GB also.
DoItFast4U automatically selects 4 as the MAIN and then 6 as the MAIN. However, I want to either select VTS 1 as the only MAIN title and encode 4 & 6 at the extras bitrate. or include VTS 1 as a MAIN selection and spread the bitrate between the 3 VTS titles.
Is there a way to do this within DoItFast4U? I guess if it cannot be done through the GUI I possibly could modify the script?
Thanks

If I don't get you wrong, you're talking 'bout a feature that's already been implemented in DIF4U some versions ago.
Haven't got an update lately? ;)
Get the latest one and you'll have the possibility to flag or "de-flag" a highlighted VTS as MAIN by pressing "M".

You'll have to enable the "check for updates including beta" option because that's in the newer betas

Thanks guys, I'll get a copy of the latest beta and check it out.
So, selecting a VTS title and pressing M will flag it as a main title. If there is a main selected already and you highlight it and press M will it be flagged as an Extra?

Of you course you can set the automatically selected "MAIN" Title to "not-main" in DIF4U :)

What how? Simply highlight a main VTS (by clicking it...), press "m" and it's no longer flagged as "MAIN". All clear now? ;)

One thing I would like to ask about the main/extras flag
Can you tell me the difference in operations being performed if I flag a VTS as MAIN or if I flag a VTS as Extras
The Extras get a fixed bitrate, but besides that what else?
You see, I have a Bonus Disc that contains only extras, I flagged them all as MAIN, but since RA doesn't take over these settings and starts flagging almost everything as "Extras" I started to wonder if it's still useful to flag them manually in DIF4U ?
thx,

It may be useful for those who don't use RA, because DIF4U also creates an "encoding-script" for DoCCE4U and so these settings can be passed through to DoCCE4U.
