This is just a quick one to solve a nagging thing.

I’m using
TMPG: 2.513.53.162
Core: 1.96.149

Is there any way to change the default "Video arrange Method" from Full screen to "full screen (keep aspect ratio)" as I do 99% of my conversions into this format and it is irritating having to change it and once or twice I have forgotten when changing the default would solve the problem.

This should be easily accomplished saving a template with your default settings. Try and tell us please.

it seems to stay on whatever it was on the previous time it was changed evan after loading a settings file. however when the wizard is used (this feture i quite like as i don't use many advanced fetures) it defults the "Video arrange Method" to "Full Screen" which is confusing i'm sure it will eyther get this from a file or it is just the programmers defult for when there wasn't a "last" setting.

You're right. The same happens to me with an older version.

I guess you won't be able to use the wizard unless you want to do the additional 5 clicks.

I guess it's a programmers default, even though it is stored in the CurrentCFG.tpr file on the TMPGEnc dir. You might try messing with it but I'd not recommend it since it's not an ASCII file, and the wizard may overwrite it again.

Anyway, a template is quite as a wizard, only you have to fill the blank filenames. So, loading a settings file won't change your "last used".

Hope this helps.
