Odd playback problem

I made back up using dvdxcopy; have done many back ups and all work fine. Had one back up that split dvd9 to two discs. disc 1 played fine and then disc 2 would play just a few seconds of each chapter and then skip to the next one. This only happened on my Sony multi disk player. It did not happen on my 2 panasonic players or my pc player. Tried re burning disc 2 with record now dx on my sony 500. Same problem with only the sony player.

Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening only on the sony player and why alll the other dvdxcopy backups have been fine?

A few have looked at this post but no replies; I don't know what the black dot in the envelope on the far right column means. Does this indicate something about my original post? (like it was to dumb to reply to or something?)

Still would appreciate suggestions or insights into why this is happening; it is very weird.

did you try to reburn the disc or even redo everything from scratch? I would try to burn another and test that as it might be a problem with that one piece of media, if the problem persists than redo the whole project and try again.
Post results after to let us know.
