This is likely the oldest question in the book.
Using DVD2SVCD to convert a .avi file (either a music video or a divx or xvid movie) to convert to SVCD - the video file that is being fed into TMPGENC or Canopus is all black
I have done lots of reading and I have tried to rename the files and directories simply, but I don't know if it's a problem with VFAPI or the .avs scripts that are generated. I see the names of the files being typed in automatically when doing the conversion through DVD2SCAN as it kicks in all the apps it uses.
With Canopus, it does not permit the use of link2, but tmpgencode does but the video is still black when seen during encode. I would prefer to use Canopus Procoder.
I don't do much editing of the scripts since they seem to look like your scripts that I read here. I am not an expert obviously, but I could use your help again. Lastly, which is the versions of tmpgenc and DVD2SVCD that I should be using?
Thank you.
