Hi there,
I have a problem, maybe with DirectShow. When playing the video, after a while (maybe when CPU and graphics card get hot), the video gets blanked for a split second. It's really annoying. When using mplayer for windows, then I don't have this problem, but on every other player it occurs (ZPlayer, MPC, WMP, BSPlayer). And the blanking get more heavy, when the mouse is moved and there are controls on the screen. I also think that the use of DirectVobSub increases the problem.
The registry gets checked for non existant values. Here is what regmonitor said:

I'm not sure, but it could be that the computer shows this behavior since I installed DirectX9. I uninstalled it a long time ago and reinstalled DX8.1, but the problem remains (as I said, not sure if DX9 caused the problem).
Oh, there is one more important thing I forgot: it's only with Mpeg4 movies. When playing Mpeg-1 or other codecs, there is no problem. The blanking is there when using ffdshow, as well as when using XviD decoder directly. Movies encoded with DivX show the same. But DivX movies play fine when using the Elecard Moonlight Video Decoder for DivX.
Best regards,
JimiK
Edit: Sorry, forget to post about my system. I've got an AthlonXP 1600+ (not OCed), 256MB SDRAM, a Geforce2 MX. The OS is german WinXP Pro, DirectX 8.1.
