Specifics menus of DVD (cf. Fight Club)

Hi,

I'm french so I try to speak english only :p
First, maybe a method exist for extract menu only ? Because with DoItFast it put the menu in the video_ts directory but how we can retrieve sub picture for example ???
Second, All the animated menu is in a vob... And with chapter it isn't difficult to create navigation but in the vob There is the language selection... In the vob it's just 02 second but in the menu of the dvd it's a fixed picture... So how I can freeze the chapter for have a access of this menu because after the demux in the menu when I click for the language selector it's just 02 seconds....
PLease help me if my explications are good ^^

U can extract the subs from a menu using subrip and saving in bmp mode.

For your second question, u can load the vob in vobedit and demux by cell-id and then further demux by audio and video.

Maybe you can explain me with more informations...
I don't undestand all you said, only a part... So I must create a PGC just for the language menu ?
But SCENARIST don't have a option for this problem ? If the menu is in only one Vob, I think the editor of the dvd have used a option in Scenarist for create this freeze picture...
Help me because many animated menu of dvd are this problem... All menus in a single vob... So for fixed picture I don't know how I can sucess ^^

1 - forget about Scenarist and doitfast4u for a second.

load your original dvd in DVD Decrypter.
Rip VTS_01_0.vob (if VTS_01 is NOT your main movie, select the 0 vob in the correct set). Open VOBEdit and select the VTS_x_0.vob (x = whatever VTS # the main movie is) and click DEMUX. On the new window select by CELL ID. Click "OK" and the program will split your menu by CELL ID. Afterwards, you'll need to split the audio and video.

I try to execute your advice and the result is all the menu in little part... So maybe the problem with fixed picture will be remove...
But I have a question... The vob has a duration of 1 seconde so Does Scenarist can use this part of vob look like a subpicture or I must use the cell command to return at the beginning of this file ?
Not necesssary to answer because I encode the movie and after I will test...
