OK ive have read about but i would like to know is deiterlacing really needed or important. As i do pal movies, now if bitrate viewer tells me its interlaced i leave progressive unticked in cce, if its progressive i tick progressive.I've never had problems when encodeing with cce.
I do have a couple of R1 movies, now if i decide to back these up will i need to do anything special with them, as i keep reading about IVTC, forcefilm etc ....
When encodeing with CCE this is what my .avs script has in.....
loadplugin("g:\mpeg2dec.dll")
mpeg2source("g:\where ever the d2v file is")
resampleaudio(44100)
Also whats the Decomb.dll all about.
I mean why do all this deinterlaceing on interlaced movie etc.... when if i encode the movie with the same settings bitrate veiwer gives me the movie plays fine.
