dvd2avi CCE INTERLACED ?

Hello,

I try to re-encode a movie NTSC interlaced and I get some weird effect : the picture vibrates when there is some motion. We can see the lines ...

I don't know which of the followings steps are wrong :

DVD2AVI : I check "Force FILM". I know we should not do this as the movie is not progressive...but CCE fails if I do not check this "Force Film" setting...

Bitrateviewer : I know that I should not rely on this software but following are some informations it gave me :
Aspect ratio: 4:3 Generic
Framerate: 29.97
DCT precision: 10
Pic. structure: Frame
Field topfirst: Yes
DCT type: Field
Quantscale: Nonlinear
Scan type: ZigZag
Frame type: Interlaced

CCE2.5 : I checked DVD compliant, zigzag, turn off upperfield.

Pulldown : PULLDOWN.EXE movie.m2v movie1.m2v (sounds default value are for interlaced)

So now, when I play the "movie1.m2v" file with POWERDVD ....I get the results I mention above, the entire picture seems to vibrate up ....

I guess you mean the interlaced lines...

You know that and you still do it? Don't force DVD2AVI to do what it cannot do: force-film a film which is not "force-filmable".

Take the readings from BitRate Viewer from an internal VOB only.

If your picture "shakes" during high motion, try changing the CCE field order.

Tell us what the movie title is.

I'm curious about why CCE would crash when you don't use the FORCE FILM option in DVD2AVI (maybe you have a framerate issue - CCE only works at 29.97, 25, 24 and 23.976 fps).
