Recently I bought a Hauppauge WinTV PCI FM model 747, which has the CX23881 chip, to replace my old BT878a based card.
One of the things I want to do with it is capturing some NTSC anime VHS tapes to convert them to DVD. Since I am in PAL country, that means capturing PAL-60.
My old card could capture PAL-60, but only when using the BTwincap drivers. The new one however won't. I have tried the latest Hauppauge drivers, and drivers from other CX23881 based cards, but I couldn't find one with a PAL-60 option.
What is frustrating is that Dscaler 4.7.1 can switch to PAL-60, but only when using it’s internal driver. So the hardware can do PAL-60, only Hauppauge (Connexant?) did not implement it in the drivers. (In fact, on their website Hauppauge even deny the BT878 can do it  )
Because Dscaler is primarily meant for viewing video, the capturing options are rudimentary and (so far) capturing full size is not possible with it.
So, my questions are:
Does anybody know of a CX23881 based capture card which has PAL-60 implemented in it’s drivers so I can try transplanting them?
Or is there a capture application somewhere that can switch a CX23881 card to PAL-60 on its own like Dscaler but can do full resolution capture? Or perhaps some sort of CX2388x tweaker utility?
Any help would be appreciated.
