It probably is due to the bad value 00:08:01:90
Try changing that to something sensible (the last value, frame number, is out of range)

You are so NICE, mpucoder!
But I don't know the range of the timecode, 60? 30? or other else??
Another question, I don't know how to define the "PTT MENU" or "SUBPICTRUE MENU" in dvdmaestro. In scenarist, it's a simple thing, but in dvdmaestro, I can't fine the right place to define it.

NTSC 0 - 29
Pal 0 - 24.
Enable workbook mode and Connections from View dropdown menu. Click on connections and right click on the right window (xcell like). Enable advanced settings and u'll have plenty of menus to define.

Thank you, oddyseus.
Follow your guide, I get the right place to define menu type now, but which option is "ROOT MENU", I can't find it. If I place my root menu to "TITLE MENU", I can get nothing when I press the "ROOT" key in my remote or click "ROOT MENU" in POWER DVD player.
And these two options that I don't know what use they for:
------------------------
Main: Preview
Main: Next
------------------------
For the subtitle question, with which tools can help me to convert the timecode?

Maybe you are trying to put the root menu in VMG? It belongs in the titleset, in a language unit.
title menu = top level menu for entire disk
root menu = top level menu for titleset

Root Menu is defined by the menu that you enter in every movie's connections...
For instance if you have two movies (in maestro each movie is a different VTS) in basic connections you have 2 blanks to fill:
a)Chapter 1(or 00:00:00:00) Menu Key
b)Chapter x(the last chapter): End Action
So, your root menu of the movie is always the a) option....
Now, just because Maestro is putting automatically (unless there are different aspect ratios in menus) all the menus in the first VTS, when you press root menu at any time you will get at that menu(even if you're watching a video that is placed as a menu)...
So if you want your main menu to be the one that is reached after pressing Root Menu at your remote, place the movie that has the Menu Key pointing at main menu FIRST in order. This is why, because you may have a trailer as your first movie that points to the "extras" menu probably...
