Most of you who have tried TV-out have probably noticed that the whole TV-screen is not used. There is a black border around that isnt there when you watch normal TV for example.

I want to know if there is a way to fix this. I have heard some rumors its possible by flashing the chips on the graphics card with a modified instruction set. Ive also heard it may be possible with a software-based solution.

The spesific card in question is a geforce2MX. ANY helpful info is appreciated. I havent been able to find anything on the forums or on the net so far.

Thanks in advance

I've never had this problem on my GeForce 4. Make sure you are using a player than understands and can compensate for the difference between computer monitors and tvs ( overscan and underscan ) The best player for this IMHO is Zoom Player.

what you need is to set the tv-out to over-scan mode (you're currently in under-scan mode).
i think that the letest nvidua drivers let u do that. also tvcc2000 and tvtool would let you set this mode as well.

Thanks, problem solved. TVtool fixed my problem for me. I have been using it before, but when i used fullscreen then it overscanned way too much.

For some weird reason, when i put my TV down as a NTSC in the program (My TV is PAL, but i think it can be used on NTSC also) everything worked perfectly, and im not running a perfect fullscreen at 100Hz =)

Try enabling special resolutions trough your drivers and Tvtool.Mine works perfectly with pal and 768x576 resolution (i think the nv4_disp.inf file in the drivers had to be modified with a txt editor,IIRC)
