this is no valid avisynth script!
which kind of function do you intend to call?
are there already functions to open rmvb's in avisynth?

please use more words to describe your problem and your intentions!
please post the error-message!

Basically, I have a .rmvb RealMedia Variable Bitrate movie file and I was told that by downloading RealMedia splitter, which contains a .ax file and RegDrop and regestering the .ax I could then make an .avs script by typing in the location, file name, and framerate. So I typed that in and I get an error on the line column like 74.

I hope you tried this:

DirectShowSource("C:\Documents and Settings\_Louis_\My Documents\My Videos\lae-fire.rmvb", fps=25)

Wilbert, that's working but I'm not getting any audio. I have source selected in VDub but nothing - no audio or audio data. You know how I can fix this?

Audio support for DirectShowSource is only available in the latest binaries and is still alpha, see this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57357) for more information.

Thanks man, it's working.

It's saying it'll finish in like 2 days.

It's getting stuck when it reaches a certain audio sample.

Actually, both video and audio stop processing and the ETA goes up and continues.

You know, this forum has an EDIT button

Well, audio support is alpha, so what do you expect? That's why it is only in the most recent binaries...

I haven't worked with RV9 files yet, but try DSShowsource without the audio. I'm pretty sure that you can get the audio out of an rmvb with Graphedit. Ask in the new media forum, there you'll find the RV9 masters...
