Chapters?

hi guys

i am not new to dvd authoring i have been doing it for a year or so my question is what i want is when my authored movie loads up in a dvd to be able to make chapters in the movie but not a chapter selection page just to be able to make chapters so i can skip back and forwards

any help appreciated

if I understand u correctly u want to create chapters in the dvd so u can jump forward, backwards during playback, but u don't care for a menu screen that u can use to select one of them? Am I correct?

Well if I am, u can define chapter points at every dvd authoring program. Each one has its way of doing though. In Maestro for example its enough if u click on the timeline. Each click is defining a new chapter, others have other procedures. What is yours authoring prog?

i am using or trying to use scenarist at the moment yep that's what i'd like to do if poss

In Scenarist u have to create scenes. It the term it uses for chapters. Click in lowest band of a track to where u want to put a scene and press the scene button. It is the one with the clack sign u see in the movies a guy is waving in front of the camera the moment the director says action.

i have just tried that and it works fine thanks i did a thread earlier on how to go about makin menus and linking them up in scenarist any chance you could go over it quickly or give a link to one
the one on this website doesn't really go into it
