how does cce choose ntsc or pal?

when i encode in cce how do i select like in tmpgencoder whether i want pal or ntsc output for my mpg2 file im using version CCE SP(SSG)

It doesn't. Unless your using a special mode (VCD,SVCD which your version many not even have availible) then it just encodes the video using the same specs as the the source (framerate, resolution).

CCE is more of a general purpose encoder, where as TMPGenc is more geared towards VCD/SVCD creation. So, it's basicly your job to make the source PAL/NTSC compatible before feeding it to CCE.

the problem happened when i put my new mpg2 file created by cce into scenarist it gave me 3 errors
error:tv system should be ntsc or pal
error:picture resolution is wrong(576x304)
error:number of fields(30)in gop(#1)or between sequence header code should be equal or smaller than 0

any suggestion on what i'm doing wrong

Sorry, can't help (I use CCE for SVCD, not DVD-R). If you don't get a good answer here you can post this in the DVD-R authoring forum. But first I would check the guides and do a forum search.

If you use cee as a plugin for DVD2SVCD, you solve all your problems in cenarist, as it put your file in the rigth size >720x576 or 720x480.
The same about NTSC to PAL.

Well, you're not creating a compliant DVD stream, for starters.

For error #1, I suspect that you don't have a compliant FRAME RATE.

For error #2, you don't have a compliant IMAGE SIZE.

For error #3, you don't have a compliant GOP STRUCTURE.

I suggest that you do some searching/reading of the forum here to get a handle on what you have to do.

As for CCE choosing between NTSC and PAL, it doesn't. The only thing that CCE allows you to control is the LUMINANCE levels, which NTSC requires to be 16 to 235 (not 0 to 255). The COLOR SPACES are different between the two formats. I don't know where they are set up (either the authoring program or the DVD player).

OK, what you need to use is AVISynth to frameserve your file into CCE. I'm guesing you're converting DIVX or XVID files looking at those resolutions. Have a look at the Doom9 site and you will discover some great tutorials that will allow you to make DVD compliant files. If you need any more help I will be more than happy to assist you.
