Seacam-->NTSC

I have a recent capture that is a french film (in titles says filmed in France)It has a very weird telecine pattern.
I'm just wondering if it's better to use #guide=2,or #guide=3with Telecide(), The fim was "probably" originaly 24fps, but then maybe telecined to either seacam(for french TV, or pal for european TV. I captured it in NTSC, so I was just wondering if anybody truly knows the best way to handle this type of capture. I will not #decimate()
as god only knows what that would do.
There is definetly some progressive content, with a lot of interlaceing as well.
Any input from the experts is appreciated,

What version of Decomb are you using? If your using 4, I would highly recommend trying Decomb 5 beta 15

SECAM is a protocol for TV broadcasting, it has nothing to do with encodes. You shoudl capture in PAL, and if you can't, I don't know.

I was testing with decomb 4b7, will try with v5b15.
I've scanned thru the file throghly & it seems to follow this patern:
2 progressive frames, followed by 4 & sometimes 5 interlaced frames.
anyone see that before?

this may be a PAL->NTSC conversion, that was made usinf fieldblending.

Try the rePAL-Filter. Maybe that helps.
