Please use a better title when describing your problem. Otherwise, you'll miss out on all those who could have helped you but skipped your post, due to the poor description. See Rule 9 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm). Thank you.

---

Any subtitles streams in the PGC are included in the VOB set extracted by DVD Decrypter, unless you select "Streams Processing" and then deselect the subtitle streams. See DVD Structure (http://www.doom9.org/dvd-structure.htm) in Doom9's "The Basics" section.

If you are then encoding MPEG-4 with Gknot (you didn't say so, but I assume it), you have two choices. You can either: Keep the subtitles in a separate file and display them at playback time..

or

"Burn" the subtitles into the video. For reasons of quality and ease of management, most Gknot users recommend keeping them separate. Either way, you'll find instructions for handling subtitles in each of Doom9's GKnot guides for DivX or XviD (http://www.doom9.org/divx-encoding.htm). Once you've done your homework, and find you have specific questions, please feel free to ask. But please, next time, do the homework, first.

I've just gone back through your posting history, to see if I could figure out what you're trying to do. It looks like you use Gknot with DivX 5.

Therefore, you'll want to read the subtitle section in this subset of Doom's DivX 5 Gknot guide (http://www.doom9.org/gknot-divx5.htm).

I also noticed that you've been warned twice about Rule 8, and once about Rule 12. And in this thread you've been warned about Rule 9, and of course, reminded about Rule 1 and 1a. Please, take the time to read the rules. If you have any questions or need any clarification about the meaning of a rule, or why it exists, feel free to ask. You you don't have to like them; but you are required to obey them. Thank you.

use SubRip to rip the Subs to a textfile (guide (http://www.doom9.org/subtitle_guide.htm) and then you can either use a subtitle capable player (like BSplayer) or vobsub to display them. If you want the subs to start playback automatically you have to give them the exact same name like your avi...
e.g: movie.avi & movie.srt

PS: changed your title ;)
