Can someone help me with this ?

I have .WMV file (in WM2 format) that I want to re-encode to DivX 5 .AVI.

Using graphedit I sucessfully decoded it to 9GB YUV16/PCM uncompressed .AVI, that plays fine.

But then when I try to encode it to DivX 5.0.5 (either single or multi-pass), B frame enabled. the resulting video is "jumpy".
It's not really loss the synchronization with audio, the sound synchronized fine but the video itself looks like its jumps few frames a time, making the feeling that someone pause it then seek a bit forward and then pause agai and so on ...

This never happened when I was re-encoding MPEGs ... :(

Can anyone help me ?

More information is needed.
Open the uncompressed AVI in Vdub or VdubMod. Click File...Information. Note the number of frames, and frames per second. Open DivX AVI and do the same thing. Do you have the same frame count and framerate?

If so....

Open uncompressed AVI. Move slider to a scene with movement. Use the right-arrow key and left-arrow key to move through the scene frame by frame. Do the same thing with the DivX AVI. Any differences?
