win2000 questions

Windows 2000 is driving me crazy. I've two questions:

1) Where does Iexplorer keep the Favorites folder?

2) Where does Windows keep my profile settings? I have had several times that my profile settings file is corrupt, and I had to make it from scratch again.

1) C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Favorites

2) I think its ntuser.dat but I forgot where it is.

That file is located in "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator".

Be VERY careful changing around stuff in the Administrator profile.

If you corrupt that profile, no login. No login, reinstall time.

I would highly recommend making a user with administrator priveliges for your primary use, and leaving the Administrator account as-is in case a profile corruption requires you to login as Administrator to fix things.

Same principle as using the root account all the time in Unix, not the best idea ;).

I did that when installing Win2000 :) It was a typo, I meant:

... located in "C:\Documents and Settings\Wilbert"
