how to join vbr-mp3's?

since the faq says the besweet -payload method does only work for cbr's, i'd like to know how i can join multiple vbr-mp3's without reencoding them.

I'm not too sure what you're asking, but I'll try to help anyway.

With VBR, I'll extract the audio and save it as a .WAV and then encode it to AC3 in BeSweet.

nah, no ac3, i just want to join the mp3's to one big mp3 without reencoding.

i tried that one but it seems to just do a copy /b. it appends the second mp3 to the first one with its original header. so the length shown for the joined file is always the length of the first file. also the bitrate indicated by winamp isn't correct anymore. i'm not sure if that is proper joining?
