since i updated to GK 28.5 i cannot process my encoding jobs anymore. when i start the encoding job, i get a message from virtualdub:

VirtualDub Error:
Loadplugin: "mpeg2dec3.dll" is not an Avisynth 1.0 plugin
... alt.avs, line 8

can anybody help me? for me it seems as if everything is ok with avisynth 2.5 which is properly installed.

try uninstalling and reinstalling everything. also make sure that no avisynth files are left in any system directories as well as no registry entries in the reg. it seems to me that you still got a very old version of avisynth on your computer

well, i already tried it with uninstalling everything, and currently i'm running the previous version of GK again - with the same message appearing. i'll try to erase everything in the registry, but as i already said, i have avisynth 2.5 running, not 1.0. i never had such an old version of avisynth on the pc, i started videoencoding with GK 28.1 or 28.2.

You can confirm your installed AviSynth.dll release with a one line .avs file containing:Version()

You could try downloading avisynth switcher which will let you choose which version of avisynth you want to run...it may help getting rid of the error.

I get the error as well:
VirtualDub Error:
Loadplugin: "mpeg2dec3.dll" is not an Avisynth 1.0 plugin

I uninstalled everything and searched for avisynth.dll and it is not on hard disk.

I assume I have to edit the registry or rename a file?

Any help appreciated!
Thanks
