cce 2.66.01.07
reauthorist 1.0.0.0
doCCE4u 1.0.1.5 beta
doItfast4u 1.1.1.0
scenarist 2.6

well i followed the guide and everything seems to be going good...

I finally get the the step where you import the script from reauthorist into scenarist and it builds the dvd structure...

all of the film clips have the little black box, i.e. they are working-expect for the main movie...

also i get this error message in scenarist when i try to compile the project...

Warning Sub-Picture (stream 1 in Track "VTS_01_PGC_01") is across scene boundary at 01:27:48:06
Error The track<VTS_01_PGC_01> has place holder.
Error PreCheck From DB failed
Error DVD files could not be created

The movie is "The Recruit"...

also when go and look into the directories where DoItFast4u and DoCCE4u extracted the m2v files it appears that the main movie is still a little over 5 gigs, i.e. it was never reencoded for some reason... all the other small clips have been re-encoded but not the main movie it would appear. any suggestions? i followed the guides exactly...

also i notice after i set-up reauthorist, select wich pgc i want to keep etc, and press enocde then doCCE4U will pop up and the little list of jobs to be done on the left side will start with VTS_01_P4 and doesn't even do P1-3 (P1 being the main movie) at all and then does VTS_2 and VTS_3 fine, but doesn't do the re-encode the main movie for some reason

P.S. if i try to open the main movie m2v in powerdvd, etc it freezes up and will not work, all other clips work fine...also there is a layer break in this movie and part of the main movie is in VTS_01_P4 and the rest of the main movie is in VTS_01_P1...

hi,
well as it seems the main movie encode didn't work... posting your logfiles would probably help to get to know the problem. also the ecl file wouldn't hurt.

generally i'd say you might have to reencode the main movie manually. anyway, i do not know for sure if this movie can be reencoded using the 'Big 3' at all. to know for sure you'll have to post the ifo file too.

reauthorist can only handle those DVDs that can be reauthored using the PGCs. maybe your DVD has to be reauthored by VobID or Cells. if this is the case you will have to do the encoding and the reauthoring manually. you can still use DoItFast4U to demux though - but you'll have to check 'demux by VobId or Cell' though

i have the same problem of RA not loading the first pgc to be re-encoded into cce...but an easy solution is just to hit encode so that RA creates the job list for you, then clear the jobs from DC4U, then load up the "RA_DC4U" job list.

as for the scenarist problem...i had that same error one time and it happened when i unchecked a stream in DI4U instead of RA. the stream i removed was a 6ch and RA replaced it with a dummy 2ch and scenarist wouldn't let me create the vobs. so i had to go and replace all the dummy 2ch audio tracks in scenarist with the correct dummy 6ch audio tracks.

if you need me to elaborate further then just let me know

hope this helps

i think i got it working now

for some reason reauthorist was encoding a small (53 sec) part of the movie (in VTS01_P4) as an extra and wasn't re-encoding the main movie at all...

so i set the small clip to encode like the main movie (3 passes, etc) and when i click on encode in Reauthorist and DoCCE4U pops up then it has the main movie in the encode list, so that is working now...

will update when i get to the scenarist part and tell you if i get the same error, i think it was only saying that before becuase it couldn't find the main movie video...

thanks

Hi y'all,

I'm trying to back-up Gangs of New York(R2)

It seems I have the same prob as daddy_fiz; RA didn't even touch the main movie and it is still 5,52 Gigs. But... when I imported the whole thing into scenarist, it created the right track with all the scenes, but instead of the main movie it imported a still show without audio or subs.

The imported still show is named exactly the same as the main movie file, except for the extension that is .mpv, instead of .m2v that the main movie has as extension.

I will now try to encode the main movie manually and then import that instead of the still show. The strangest thing is: I didn't even unchecked any of the streams, I wanted to make a full back-up(that means with everything still in it).

Also in the 'scenario editor' it shows that the main movie track has 25 cells(scenes) and when I look at the right track... it only has 2 scenes. The first (00:00:00;00) and one at the end (00:00:00;24) yet the tracks duration is only 00:00:00;15.

Can anyone explain why that is...

(PS... if anyone wants to see the log files or the ecl file, just say it)

[EDIT]

As you can probably see by now, this is the first time I'm doing 'it' with the Big 3... I kinda liked the idea of sitting back and relax...:D
