5.1 Creation Question

A question about 5.1 AC3 in BeSweet. I always choose 384 Kbps bitrate AC3 and select 5.1 channel creation, but always remain with 2 channels. My question is, does the source have to have 5 channels in order to be able to create 5.1?

Well, I didn't really know whether it would work or not. The point being, I'd rather have 5 channels than 2.

5 channels made from 2 will sound just like 2 :) Use Matrix Mixer instead on playback.

Yeah - it won't even create 5 channels.

Even though I don't create 5 channel audio, I still get sound coming out of all 5 of my speakers.
