Hi,
1. I capture my homevideo using Virtual dub 1.5.4.
2. Used DivxPro codec 5.03 as compression.
3. Filesize is 400 mb. Duration of capture = 40 minutes.
4. My divx decoder settings are: smooth playback, overlay extended mode, double buffering, disable logo. No film effect. Quality level is 1/3 of max. Encoding bitrate = 1547. Max bitrate 4000. Variable bitrate mode = 1 pass. Source interlace Encode as progressive. Max keyframe interval 300. Scene change treshold 50%. Performance quality = slowest. I use home theater profile with bidirectional encoding.
5. The quality of the captured avi is good.
My problem:
6. I take the avi and put it into DVD2SVCD
7. My CCE encoder settings are as following: Top Field first. Timecode 00:00:00. Lineair quantizer scale checked. Intra DC precision =10. M=3. N/M=5. SEQ header every 1. The rest of the CCE advanced setting in DVD2SVCD are unchecked.
8. I hit the convert tab and it start. The audio encodes normal. But then CCE 2.50 SP comes in action. At first it goes fast and takes a speed of 1.100. But after a couple minutes it drops down to 0.455. And what have should been a half hour ends up in 1hour and 30 minutes. Besides that the filesize turns out to be 6 gigs.
9. I used the same method with 2 minutes captured avi. But that after fast encoding it turns out to be 17 mb. If it should be right for fourty minutes someone should expect a total size even not near to 1 gigabyte.
How is this possible?
