WINXP-PRO vs. DVD-RW which? $130

I can buy either WINXP-PRO or I can get a DVD-RW burner. Each is around $130. I am not sure which I wish to buy. Any suggestions?

Either should improve my capturing capabilities on my machine. XP breaks the 4GB barrier, while a DVD-RW allows me to share what I have created.

What about getting XP Home and the burner?
