I am converting a DivX movie to SVCD to be burned on to a DVD. The fram rate is 22.97 and DVD2SVCD will adjust the framerate for the video.

The audio is WMA and I extracted it than converted it to PCM to AC3.

I am planning to import the MPEG2 stream into DVDMaestro and create a sync audio tract.

Will the audio be out of sync due to the framerate change and if so what can be done to correct it?

Thanks

yup the audio will go out of sync when the video framerate is changed (as the video length will be changed)

Prosoniq TimeFactory seems to be the only app which is able to change the audio length and do some further corrections so that the audio still sounds the same

22,97 fps?
is this a typo-error?
shall this be 23,976fps?

23,976 fps represents NTSC-Film.
If you want to make a NTSC-SVCD, no conversion is needed
For making a PAL-SVCD, you have to do a PAL-Speedup. The Forum-Search will help you!

Thanks for the quick replies.

Yes the 22.97 was a typo it should have been 22.027 at least that is what DVD2SVCD reports and AVI Information reports 22.0274.

The audio is WMA V2 and DVD2SVCD can't handle this either and the conversion is greyed out.

Because of this I will try Canopus Procoder whis allowed me to go from PAL to NTSC without any difficulties and it did an excellent job. It loads this weird frame rate and than as destination will do normal NTSC format.

This was an upload of the V TV Miniseries done in DivX, but why would anyone choose as frame rate 22.074?

Just checked the overnight conversion and it worked. Canopus Procoder did an excellent job on converting 22.0274 Framerate to 29.97 with the audio staying in sync.

would be interesting if the audio now sounds the same as before the frame rate change?

It is too much to check it on the PC and than on the DVD/TV. However I did do a conversion from PAL to NTSC and I did not note any change in pitch of the dialogues.
