I realize that the solution (or so it seems) to this problem was in another thread. I installed the newest version of avisynth and ffvfw. What I did not realise was that I would have to search to find out that ffvfw can crash the system that you are using. Right now I have been waiting over an hour for my system to come back online to even boot up. Quite frankly this is a very annoying problem.

Can you guys put a warning about this on the site here? Like a use at your own risk warning. Because right now my system at work is nuked and I was looking for a deinterlace solution and unfortunately ran into this problem.

thanks

I think there have been enough major system-stability issues posted here to warrant removing ffvfw from the main distribution. What do you say, sh0dan?

I have been hearing about all the probs that ppl have been having with this, I choose to install it when I install each new build of AviSynth and have had 0 errors or problems myself :D

must be one of the few lucky ones :)

I have already added a warning to the Yes/No screen, but we might as well remove it from the main distribution.
