Hey,

I've tried to make a back up of the movie "The badge".
The movie has a 4x3(1.33:1)AR, suitable for all screens the box says.
Originaly the movie played correctly (the aspect ratio) with the TV in "Widescreen" mode.(anamorphic:sly:)
I had to do a reencode to fit on a DVD-R.
Now the movie doesn't play correctly anymore in the "widescreen mode"!!
I use DVD2SVCD as a frontend to do reencodes.
I used the option "4x3, encode as a 4x3" because the movie has a AR
4x3???:confused:
How do you resize for such movies so it plays like the original DVD. :sly:

Can someone explain, thanx.:stupid:

This is the AviSynth forum, not DVD2SVCD. Maybe you should ask in the DVD2SVCD forum?! ;)

I thought resizing is a avisynth matter!!
However, i will ask it there as well.

@marlboroman
Well the aspect ratio that you are listing there (4:3) is fullscreen. On a regular TV that will fill up the whole picture. You should be able to encode the movie with 4:3. If that doesnt work then you can try to do it 16:9 no borders added and see what that does.
