I have ALOT of svcd's that I have been dying to put on Dvd.
Of those that I has successfully been able to do so with, I have been forced to use DVD Patcher(1.06) to change the size parameter from 480x480 to 352x480. Of course I use "pulldown.exe" to set the pulldown flags...but that is besides the point. All of this to get it on a dvd. (Hey...I'm willing, I waited a year till I could afford a DVD burner. Damn straight I'm willing to do it.)
Anyway, what I wanted to share was , if you are using the *.m2v as your source for stills or motion for vts_01_0.vob, you will always get the green pixelies from the side AND it's off center. Not extremely attractive. Of course when you have made your vob's, you convert them back to 480x480 and Everything is Hunky Dory....Not.
The images used were based on a mis-sized frame & TMPG uses those frames you chose AT THE TIME. It ain't a dynamic selection based on what you converted it to afterwards.(I don't know if a dvd can do that anyway.)
Well, to make a long story longer,(just kidding) when You import your *.m2v into TmpgEnc DVD Author, It only reads those Parameters ONCE.
SO...As soon as it finishes importing the *.m2v,You are free to change it back to 480x480. All the green pixlies are gone & all your stills & motion menus are centered. The program never looks at those parameters again. It assumes it is compiling what was read the first time.
Yes, I know the word is PIXELS..jeez...
