Heyo,

I was wondering if anyone could briefly(or at great length, your call :)) explain the process of muxing in SSA files into a matroska stream.

I have attempted to perform this funciton within vdubmod, as I would an .srt file however I have not been successful.

What tool is currently required to do this (vdubmod 1.5cvs?)? and what is the basic procedure for muxing in the .ssa files?

If someone could point me to an explanitory guide for the process I would appreciate that as well.

Thanks for your patience,
GizmoTech.

Currently Gabest' muxer filter is the only way to make this 100% successful in all cases, as his subtitles source filter can also open UTF16 SSA. Thanks defeatist for the screenshot of how Grahpedit has to look, maybe koepi or Dark-Cracker can add SSA muxing to their DirectShow based tools one day ?

However, there is no proper way of setting language tags for the subs streams yet AFAIK, unless you 'abuse' Mosu's mkvmerge to act like a tagger software also, like Liisachan was doing once.

Hopefully soon Mosu will have fixed mkvmerge, such that it can open every kind of SSA streams ( even UTF16 ), because then you can also set the language tag for the individual subs streams during the same muxing process from command line .... currently only UTF8 SSA streams seem to be supported in mkvmerge 0.5.0, and even then we had unexplainable error reports ...

Thanks Guys,

This is what I needed to know. (I kinda suspected I was gonna have to use graphedit at some point)

Thanks For the replies!
