Questions about Scenarist

Hi,

(Sorry for my english I'm french)

I have somes questions to ask for Scenarist... I use it since 10 days and I found lot of possibilities but I can't find some solutions to problems...
On a DVD (Kids Return by Kitano Takeshi), I can see some files:
vts_01, vts_02 and vts_3 and differents formats... 16/9 for the vts_3 and 4/3 for vts_02 so I have two questions...
1) It's possible to use two vts in Scenarist for one film because I can't find links for jump from a vts to another one...
2) Maybe if I use two VTS Scenarist don't say me an error about the format of the video (4/3 or 16/9) because I don't want to resize videos... I want to keep the same formats as the original DVD but I don't find how use two formats without the error of format...

PS: In scenarist 2.7, it's impossible to use DUMMY FILES... It said me an error (Not supported format)

3) Maybe utilisation of some vts permit to use different format of sound ? 2 ch and 6 ch ? Because on the dvd I can see differents formats and so I don't want to recompress them...

I think my only problem is to use differents vts for one film and use links for jumpe from a vts to another but Maybe It's 3 differents problems so If somebody can help me ???

for each VTS you may select a different aspect-ratio and a different audio format.

So there should not be any problems with your material.
Only thing that´s impossible: mix PAL and NTSC. But you are not going to do so, are you? :D

For navigation between 2 or more VTS you will have to use a "Dummy PGC" (not to be confused with dummy files) in the VMG.
Navigation between 2 VTS is done across that dummy PGC.
Insert the link to your branch target as a "pre command", so the dummy PGC will never get "played" and therefore does not need a "content"

I try to understand what you said and on the vts_01 I create a empty PGC and try to link the pre to the next vts but the software doesn't want... Maybe I must create a dummy pgc with a specific software ???

PS: What is the VMG ?

I see we can create a language in the VideoManager so Where I can put my menu ??? In language of the VTS_01 or in the language of the VideoManager ??? :confused:
