Hi,

I am attempting to split WE WERE SOLDIERS onto 2 dvd's.

I have selected 'Split to 2 DVD-Rs' and entered 'H:\SOLDIEDC'
in the destination directory space.

I then get the following warning after entering OK:

IfoEdit "failed to create disc1 or disc2 destination directory"

anyone know why I am getting this error message?

thanks, newbie OMM

It cannot create the directory there. Is your H drive just a HD?

Try filling in some other destination dir and see what happens.

Hi Infuenza,

yes the "H" drive ia a partition on my HD(80GB 7200rpm DRIVE)
that I use to store decrypted DVD's.

I also have SONY500(D) & DVDROM(E)

I did try the D drive & got the same message

thanks, OMM

Well I guess the easiest way to get around the problem is to create the directory first in your explorer?

hi mate , what do you want to split it for , you could just use dvd2one and select full disc and it will do it for you , or you could re-encode it with cce and put it back into the dvd in the same structure useing ifoupdate , there are guides here on doom 9 that will teach you how to do it , btw we were soldiers was my first full dvd back up with cce and ifoupdate I did , it worked great

Hi,

I am splitting ir because the main movie is 5.3+GB and DVD-R only
holds 4.3+. Am I missing something?

did you get an answer to your origingal quest? I think you already have disc 1 and 2 folders and ifoedit can't create them cuz they are already there...possibly from an aborted 1st attempt. Try making sure the location does not have the disc 1 and 2 folders and it should work. Hope this helps.
