change aspect ratio in VOB via VOBedit

I have one chapter in music clips DVD disk with wrong aspect ratio (16:9, but it is shown on TV as 4:3). ReMPEG does not allow to change it in .m2v file. With TMPG I have done it but the result (after VOBedit remuxing) was awful. TMPG does 350 GOPs vs 469 in original .m2v file and audio was far away from video. Any advices how to change aspect ratio in VOB/Cell file?

There are several entries about AR in the IFOs (top-level), which
you can change by doubleclicking them, in IFOedit. Maybe that´s it.

The aspect ratio for each titleset is in the video attributes of the ifo. All the video in that titleset will be shown as 4:3 or 16:9, therefore, if it's different you must move it to a titleset with the correct AR, or make a new one.

Thanks for replay. Sorry to ask, but AR - what's that? Some details - one chapter is shown 4:3 (as all others) but it would be better to see it 16:9 (add border - it is possible to switch TV into 16:9 mode), but how to change it other way leabve TV aspect ratio unchanged foe entire disk?

AR is a acronym for "Aspect Ratio" and if you see DAR, that means "Display Aspect Ratio".

Go to your movie's IFO / VTS Overview / Title Set (Movie) attributes: and double left click on your Video attributes for your options. See your AR section? Try selecting 16:9 and save IFO. Test through DVDPlay button in IFOedit. You could also play with your Resolution and Static options.

Sorry to be slightly stupid (or not?) - I am not interesting to change AR via .ifo file, I wanna change it in .vob - to be played separately in (f.i.) PowerDVD w/o .ifo. In the worst case I could do remux - but is there exists something like ReMPEG but with the possibility to change AR but saving GOP structure?

I understand what you want to do. The aspect ratio appears throughout the video (since mpeg2 is designed for streaming, there is no "top" of the file), you want to change that without re-encoding the video (like TMPG did). I don't know of a program to do that (it would work in a similar manner to pulldown, changing only the AR field) - but I don't know all the programs anymore (the number is growing geometrically, maybe even exponentially)

is re-encoding or not? It allows to change
resolution, not AR. Unfortunatelly that product
is not developed anymore. Or bought and incorporated
into some heavy system?

ReMPEG2 has not been worked on in years, nor is the source available. It can change resolution, and it does re-encode the video. However it preserves everything else in the video stream, including aspect ratio.

I think your looking for restream, that proggy allows the changing of many things in a m2v file, including AR.
