I have the Latest Version of DVD2SVCD.

I've tried to convert few DVD movies to SVCD with PERMANENT Subtitles, I don't understand why, but on 2 out of 5 movies the subs just won't apear (I'm not new, I've converted about 35 movies and never had this problem).

I've Tried several subs languages and colors, I tried just to convert it without making an image file , I even tried to make image files with I-Author But...Non of the above succedded.

I saw that the BMP subs files were created in the SUBS folder and looked fine (with an image viewer) , I even tried to change the subs color and font but nopppp ....

(if it helps the 2 movie are : Mission Imp. 2 And Half Past Dead)

can anyone help me see the Light.....(or the subs... :D)

Hello mrbi2003!

Welcome to the forum.
Are just lazy of nature or didnt you read the forumrules and stickys before posting a thread.
I really dont want to be rude but it is hard to help you when you havnt give any info at all. What programs and versions are you using and into what format are you trying to convert.
As you are posting to this form we can only guess that you are using dvd2svcd latest version? and are trying to doing svcd?

So i suggest that you read forum rules again and then the sticky: how to make a good post. And then try to post a good question, and i can nearly promise that someone will try to help you.

Dont get me all wrong now, this is just good advises to keep you out of trouble from the moderators (that hates lazy posts).

Cheers

I've the same problem, I've tried to encode some movies with subtitles, the software worked and most of the movies I encoded were successful, until I met this movie - Les Amants Du Pontneuf (lovers on the new bridge), a French movie with English subtitles. No subtitles could be encoded though I've chosen to rip subtitles.

from your log file:
0 subtitle streams selected.

apparently in the subtitle preview screen you didn't actually select a subtitle. if your default choice (in the subtitles tab) is not found on the dvd, none are chosen by default. you have to select one.

This is what it shown in my subtitle preview screen, on the 1st column of 1st row, an arrow is shown, and no subtitles are on the 'subtitle' column. On the 2nd row, no arrow is shown on the 1st column, but subtitles are shown on the 'subtitle' column. Do you mean I should select the 2nd row instead of the 1st, then press ok?

Actually I don't know how to select, since the box on 'selected' column couldn't be checked, but I still tried to click on the 1st column of 2nd row, then the arrow changed from 1st row to 2nd row and it highlighted the whole row, then pressed ok. Hope you understand what I'm saying.

The result is still not good. Here's part of the log:

So no one has the ability to help me, right?

I'm having problems with subs too but I think I can help you. You don't actually put a check mark in the 2nd row you click the down arrow on the 1st row and select 'deselect' then on the 2nd row you click the down arrow and select '1' then the check mark on the 2nd row should check for you.
