View Full Version : Audio problem while compiling VOB collections

Hi,

I am using TMPGEnc Author to compile my collection of VOB clips for authoring a DVD+r.

When I add some VOB files to my project, the program automatically picks up the AC3 audio from the same VOB file.

On some other VOB files, however, the program shows
"There is no audio" for Audio Input Format.

If I try to add the extracted AC3 file for the VOB clip, TMPGEnc Author reports an error message:

"Illegal audio format: you can use only Dolby Digital [AC3], MPEG-1 Audio layer-2, or Linear PCM."

I have successfully been able to play these extracted AC3 audio from the problem VOB clips and the sound is perfect when these AC3 files are played in PowerDVD.

When playing the same VOB clip in Power DVD, both audio and video are fine too.

Any insight/hints/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
