What is "Video Capture Pin"?

I just bought a Winfast 2000 XP deluxe tv-card and i've been trying to capture with virtual vcr. I have tried capturing at 352*576 and everything seems fine. But I notice that in virtual vcr, /devices/video capture pin/ is set to 352*288 and I can't choose something else when capturing at 352*576. What exactly does this video capture pin option do? Does this mean that the card is actually capturing at 352*288 and scaling it to 352*576? If I choose to capture 720*576 the video capture pin is set to 720*576.

By the way I'm using the latest official drivers for the card.

Doesn't anyone know what video capture pin does or is it just a stupid question so that nobody answers? I noticed that if I turn off the smart tee filter for preview in Virtual VCR, I can change the resolution of the capture pin to 720*576 when capturing at 352*576.

It is the part of your capture card drivers/hardware that actually feeds the input video into a usuable computer workspace.

So if I capture at 352*576 and the video capture pin is set to 352*288, the card will actually capture 352*288 and scale it to 352*576?
