New experimental Helix producer Gui

My newest Gui is completely re-written. It includes support for some kind of batch processing. The Audience generator is more advanced. I've dropped the deinterlacing/resizing/other stuff out because everybody (should) use Avisynth for those. I've also added file drag'n'dropping(I like it). Please send some opinions, feature requests etc. It is much more rewarding to work on something that people really use.

One problem though, even though I specify the location of my latest version of Producer, it runs the one that's in my $PATH, and thus fails to find the audience you created:

It would probably work if I remove that old Producer from $PATH.

Also, non European users, remember to change Max framerate to 30 Hz. If left at 25, you will see dropped frames for 30 Hz sources. In general I never change Max Framerate for normal bitrates. Producer will always see the incoming framerate (23.976 or 25 fps), and encode at that framerate, One example: if you use Producer's inverse telecine, and you intuitively set max framerate to 24 fps, frames will get dropped before inverse telecine sees them, and the result will not look good.

It saves the max framerate to set.up -file on exit so next time you'll start it, it should say 30 if you have changed it. Newer version is now online. It uses the producer exe which is chosen. But now I have this problem:

Just two of my cents:

The number of guis for producer is increasing rapidly lately. BTW, I know that yours, latexx, has been one of the first around. The mere increase in number is not that bad, ofcourse, since competition is good for buisness. Still, I think it might be useful if the programmers tried to put there haeds together and made a, admittedly more difficult, attempt in team working.
The benefit for everybody would be much larger. The users would get better and more comprehensive programs and the coders would learn something about project management.

@latexxx: working now! very convenient and straightforward to batch encode multiple files with the same settings.

@kilg0r3: good point, i think there are now 6 GUIs, 3 rather specialized tools, and 3 general front-ends, 2 of them batch encoders. Of the general tools, TFC's can do just about everything, including set up a job file with DropDupe pre-filter and create Avisynth scripts. I am looking forward to the first to use the Producer ActiveX control and include preview. The ActiveX control is included in M4, but may not be quite ready for primetime yet. It should be soon though.

I guess one problem would be where to start. Some use delphi, some VB, some VC, and it would be hard to collaborate with different languages. I will check with the Producer team program manager, on the possibility of having a Helix Community open source front-end project. I am sure we would be very excited about this, but getting it started is the hardest challenge. It would not be very useful unless there were two or three active developers. Anyone interested?

I think so too. Unfortunately everything ( https://helix-producer.helixcommunity.org/specs/Producer9.2/ActiveX/index.htm and https://helix-producer.helixcommunity.org/specs/Producer9.2/ActiveX/interfaces.htm ) is VB.

BTW. I'll go to Portugal on Sunday and I'll stay there for a week. So I won't be available for a while.
