tmpgenc microsoft visual c++ runtime error

I posted this same messaga a month or so ago and still cannot get it fixed.I have had this ongoing problem with Tmpg giving me this error with almost every movie i try to encode with it. When i try to start encoding it pops up with microsoft visual c++ runtime error and the program closes. I does it with all different movie types. Some movies encode without any probs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Tmpg, installed new version of Tmpg, installed older version, have reinstalled windows, have posted in many different forums and have found no answer to my problem. Someone please help me out here.

Possibly a bad version of mfc42.dll or related files?
What OS?
Perhaps you can check your system and find out what versions you
have.
If it's win2k or XP you can do SFC /SCANNOW.
However, that may not help if you have versions being loaded
from an unexpected folder.
