I have AthlonXP1700+, 250MB RAM, 80GB HDD, nVIDIA GeForce4, 3 partitions on my HD: C-WinMe, D-WinXP, E-usable by both; File system FAT.
When I display a movie on FULL-SCREEN in any player, it looks perfect in WinXP, but vertically stretched in WinMe. If I manipulate the monitor screen area with the buttons on my Samsung monitor to rectify the WinMe aspect ratio, then when I run WinXP the figures look fat (i.e., it has become vertically compressed). This happens in Full-screen display only. Of course, on non-fullscreen displays this is not a problem because the screen can be resized.
The solution may be absurdly simple for PROs, but I am really at a loss. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
