ppt to svcd/vcd

Not sure where to post this, so I apologise if its the wrong place.
Could someone tell me how I can get a Ms Powerpoint presentation (slideshow) onto a format that I can write to a cdr and then play it on the dvd player. That is, can I convert it to make a vcd or a svcd, so I can view this on my Home player.

I would appreciate your advice I doing this.

Please, use an appropriate title next time.

One way of doing this, is to save your ppt as a bunch of jpg's. Open these jpg's in AviSynth (using ImageReader (http://www.avisynth.org/index.php?page=Image)), and encode to SVCD/VCD with TMPGEnc or CCE.

If you have specific AviSynth or TMPGEnc/CCE questions, post them in the appropriate group.

I've found another solution (german) (http://spotlight.de/zforen/mpp/m/mpp-1057907510-18342.html). For non-germans here is what you can do (I didn't try it):

- get PowerCONVERTER (http://www.presentationpro.com/FreeTrial/PCFreeTrial.asp) to convert your PP presentation to Flash.
- use Macromedia Flash 5 or MX to convert the Flash to .AVI
- then use the AVI like to encode to your desired format.

Seems a bit extensive imho :p

I have a similar interest and the all-mighty search button came up with this interesting method. However, the aforementioned solution does not support every feature of PowerPoint.

Since this thread is almost a year old, I wonder if anybody has any ideas on another way to do this.

Thanks, nice product. However, it looks more like a Powerpoint replacement.
