i have been using dvd2svcd for some time with no problems creating svcds. i'm now using it to create dvd compliant mpeg files for burning to dvd.
i want to keep the original ac3 audio for when i burn to dvd, but the tick box in the audio tab is greyed out.
i know i can use the extracted ac3 file as the audio on the dvd, but was wondering why the tick box is greyed out?
thanks in advance,
lazy_dave.
ps. i have searched, but didn't come up with anything :(

You must have Do not create images set in the cd tab to be able to select keep original audio as the image making programs cannot handle AC3 audio.
BTW is that Manchester England or Manchester, NH, USA?

Sorry for jumping in Mark,
was just online atm. ;)
lazy_dave, you also have to tick the "Don't make Images" option in "CD Image" tab for this audio option getting enabled.

Oh boy! Me eyes are gettin' old I fear or those damn glasses are way to dark.
You're right, but tell me by any chance - you're not tryin' to convert an AVI file? Because this option is not available when converting AVI files.

i'll check the next time i'm doing a dvd backup to see if it's still greyed out.
shame it doesn't work when converting avi files.
maybe someone could add/tweak/fix this in the next build ;)
thanks for the help/info.
dave.
