Resident Evil - how to remove warnings & Studio logo on 2nd disk

Ripped Resident Evil to two disks. That workes fine and disk 1 plays as the original DVD. Initially disk 2 when inserted would bring up 1) language menu and 2) title menu and 3) warning and 4) studio logo and then play part 2. I have managed to get rid of all the menus by removing them in vts_01_0.ifo in the Language Menu Unit:1 [English] section but now the disk plays the warning and then the studio logo before starting part of the movie. It appears that those tracks are in vts_08_0.vob and vts_13_0.vob. If I delete them I get a navigation error. But I can't see any reference to them in video_ts.ifo and even if change the First Play command to Jump to Title [1] they still play. Playing the video in ifoedit I can see that the player jumps straight to Title 8 Chapter 1 and then Title 13 Chapter 1 and then finally to Title 1 Chapter 1.

Any ideas on what to do next would be appreciated

Thanks. I dug around this site and found an article on how to use ifoedit to remove those files. I am not sure entirely what I did but I edited video_ts.ifo VMGM_PCGI_UT and below that were a whole bunch of LU_1 menu entries. In any of them where there was a link in the PGC Command Table to jump to Title 8 or Title 13 I changed to Jump to Title [1] and then seemed to do the trick. Upon insertion now the second disk plays the movie from where it left off on the first disk. This is pretty arcane stuff

You could've saved yourself some time by just changing the first jump command in your VIDEO_TS.IFO's First Play PGC to jump to Title 1.

I changed all the Pre Commands in the PGC Command Table in the First Play PGC to jump to Title 1 Chapter 1 and it still played the copyright warning and studio logo. That is why I had to resort to what I have described. So maybe the disk wasn't authored as we would normally expect?
