A friend of mine recently borrowed me a SVCD copy of Spirited Away.
The problem is that I can't play the video stream:(
Can anyone point me to a good SVCD decoder?

Thank you.

Have you tried a software dvd-player (like WinDVD)?

No...I've been using Media Player Classic v6.4.4.2 and please don't tell me to download the latest MPC because it works a little slow in my machine:(

You cand download cyberlink or windvd and feed mpc with their decoding filters wich are

CLVSD.ax for pdvd
IVIVIDEO.ax for wdvd

Garfield: where in the MPC options can I feed the decoding filters?

Go to options -> Filters -> Add -> Browse or Add Filter from file, and give him the desired .ax file, check Prefer eventually

Or you can also register those filter in windows using the command line "c:\windows\system32\regsvr32 yourfilter.ax"
but if you use mpc you don't need that
