Wanted to throw this one out for comment.

DVD: Possession (2002, Gwyneth Paltrow, Aaron Eckhart...), ISBN 0-7832-7335-5, Universal Catalog #22403

When I do an Open Disk on this DVD from DVDShrink v2.3, it starts up with its analyze process, and then it just exits after it completes this.

Has anyone ever encountered this particular issue?

I had the same problem.

If you rip the "movie only" to the HD, you can then use DVDShrink to compress it. I haven't found a way to do the entire DVD. Even tried DVDFab but it crashed as well.
