Hi!
I just would like to know what are the players and directshow filters or packs (nimo codec pack, etc) that you are using to play movies.

I'm using Media Player Classic v6.4.4.2, ffdshow-20020617 and AC3Filter ver 0.68b.

I forgot to say that for subtitles I use the ffdshow capabilities.
VobSub becomes a little heavy in my machine:p

Zoom Player (because I like the integrated filter manager)
ffdshow (because everyone uses it!)
Microsoft MPEG2 Splitter (gives me less problems than MS MPEG2 Demultiplexer)
PowerDVD5 or WinDVD5 filters (I tend to switch a lot between them, trying to find any differences in video quality; but I'm utterly unable - or utterly myopic, of course)

Ciao.

I am using two players: MPC, latest built, and ViPlay (http://www.redox.si/viplay/english/pages/home.htm)

Filters: I donīt know, I use a lot. But I donīt use much ffdshow, because it brings me problems with certain videos and I havenīt find out what the problem might be, yet (it must be some other filter interfiering with it).
I use DivX and XviD codecs as filters for my videos.

Unfortunately the latest builds since 6.5.* of MPC, are a little slow in my machine when it comes to read DivX from CDs.
In 6.4.4.2, the version I'm using, I disable the option "search for keyframes in avi" and it all works well:)
In the latest builds I doesn't seem to have that option...

@ppera2 in MPC are you making sure your video rendering is either vmr7 or vmr9 renderless? thats the only way MPC can show subtitles on video.

Yes, yes... I read instructions. Nothing helped - tried with XP and Win 98SE, both have DirectX 9. Maybe my graphic card is culprit...

mplayer for playing and streaming anything with single audio stream, mpc for everything else (ie miltiple audio and mkv).

As for codec packs I'm doing one myself for restoring whole thing at once after another major system crash.
Now, ain't it an evil hobby?
