View Full Version : Need to remove audio track, replace with another

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, and I've been using Gordian Knot for sometime now. However on one of my recent encodes, I clicked the wrong audio track and now my final movie has french instead of english.

I went ahead and converted the english track to an MP3 file. The video came out terrific, so what I was hoping to do was remove the audio from the avi I have, and then remux the english audio back in. Unfortunately I have no idea how to achieve this, and I clicked the "remove temporary files" option, so I don't have the video only avi file anymore.

Is there anyway to do this without starting completely over? Thanks.

Open the encoded AVI with french video in VirtualDubMod, click streams, stream list, click on the audio track and click disable, click add, find your english mp3 file, set video and audio to direct stream copy, then save as avi/ogm/mkv.

Thanks so much. That worked perfectly.
