Hi,

I found that when we crop in GK, we don't get to see how much of image if any, we are loosing on the edges, so I usually don't crop. In DVD-RIP I found that it selects a frame in the middle of the movie and gives a preview with untouched, cropped and resized images side by side. So, by selecting different values for cropping you can get the best fit.

It would be great to have this kind of preview in the resolution window in GK.

Thanks for reading this post and writing such a superb program.

Open the AVS script in the editor before saving it ( edit + save ) and check the crop( ) command, it will tell you exactly how many lines are cropped off on top/bottom/left/right ....

Christian, I know how many lines its cropping. But sometimes visually seeing it gives you more assurance that nothing substantial has been cutoff and only the black bars are going. May be its not a great enhancement, but if you have seen DVD-RIP preview window you will realize what I am saying.

again, just a GUI thing, nothing great here.

I alway see what I crop away in the opened DVD2AVI window. So where is the problem?

probably "auto-resize window" is on that's why it's not obvious how much you crop...
