Differences between Nic's and Koepi's XviD

well, i've got a question that stranges me - i've got Nic's XviD installed and it's all right, but in GKnot Codec Pack i found Koepi's XviD. what's the difference between these two XviD's?

nic doesn't build anymore, so nic's latest build is around march.
Koepi's latest is 24 june, so obviously in nic's build the new features cannot be present. I would guess nic's doesn't have a working VHQ and no Trellis R-D at all.

If you're not the person to always try the latest features but more focused on proven concepts you probably are ok with nics build.

They're not that much different, only Koepi's is more recent. Nic doesn't seem to build them anymore. Umaniac's build are often most recent, but Koepi's one is heavily tested and sometimes he puts some fancy new stuff in it ;) .
