I,e been using DVD2SVCD for quite a while without any problems. I want to try something new but I can't fibd this subject in the forum and I tried just about everywhere else so I was hoping someone here could provide some advice. By default, the program outputs MPEG 2 files in 480 x 480 res. I want to change the output to 720 x 480 but I don't know how to do it. Can anyone tell me how to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Chnage the level of DVD2SVCD to advanced on the misc tab then a new resize dropdown will appear on the frameserver tab with that as an option.
Alternatively you can edit the avisynth sript and make it whatever you want.
At SVCD bitrates 720 x 480 is too big. Basically you are spreading the same amount of info over a larger area thus reducing bitrates section by section.
Keep 720 x 480 for at least 3000k AVG bitrates and above for best results.

Re: your DVD2SVCD solution...THANKS!!!!! You would not believe how many different sites and forums I went to with this problem and could not find anyone who knew how to do this. I still have to fine tune it a bit but thanks to you I now know how to re-size. A million thank-you's to you my friend!

Ok, I'm probably being incredibly thick here, but I can't seem to find any setting under 'Misc' tab to put DVD2SVCD into advanced mode?
Maybe it already is? Anyway, under the frameserver tab, if I try to change the resize option, I just get "auto" for horizontal and vertical res, and can't change them. How do I do this? I want to change them to output DVD-compliant video.

I think "incredibly" is being a bit harsh on yourself. Otherwise I'd be inclined to agree! :D
Look again under the "Misc" tab and (assuming you're using an up-to-date version) you'll see a dropdown box labelled "DVD2SVCD level" at the right hand side just over halfway down.
Change from "Normal" to "Advanced" in the dropdown box.
Go back to the "Frameserver" tab and a new dropdown box magically appears in about the same spot as the one you just altered, labelled "Resize to". Change this from "SVCD 480 x 480/576" to "DVD 720 x 480/576"
Then administer a single sharp slap to your own forehead whilst loudly saying the word "D'oh!".
That should do the trick.

Aha! Got it, thanks.
I had seen that option before, but since it was just under "process priority for all used programs" I thought this meant the process priority for DVD2SVCD itself...silly me!
Oh well, thank you very much (and yes, I am a muppet).
