View Full Version : Interlace lines when exporting from Premier to CCE

I have a movie which I created in Premier. I used the regular NTSC DV settings. I used the CCE plug-in to convert it to SVCD. The problem is that I get horizontal interlace lines whenever there is vertical movement on the screen. I turned off progressive frames, and this cured the problem on the PC, but there are still interlace lines when I play in on my standalone. What settings should I change to fix this problem on my standalone?

i don't know enough about your movie here...
are the lines blurred? is your source pure video or film?
i can suggest the following things - de-interlacing for pure video, ITVC for filmed source, or maybe just leaving it as is, because SVCD supports fields.
if the fields are blurred, you've got a hella problem without a good solution.. i could suggest a vertical filter to blur them together, but this is a last resort
hmm. i come from a PAL country where ugly interlacing in filmed sources seldom happens (unless you've got an old VHS tape with weird phasing field patterns...)

How do you check to see if your source is video or film?
